Who we are.

Ferngate Advisory was founded by a team of experienced business leaders — founders, MDs and senior executives who've built, run and turned around businesses across retail, children's care, technology and professional services.

We started Ferngate because we kept seeing the same gap: capable SMEs with good products and good people, held back by leadership teams stretched too thin to plan the next move. That's where we sit — half strategist, half operator — working directly alongside founders and MDs until the next stage of the business is running.

Between us, we bring commercial leadership, sales, operations, HR, M&A and hands-on sector experience from businesses that have actually scaled. Our approach is deliberately practical: no 90-page deliverables, no jargon — an honest diagnostic, a plan you can execute, and someone commercial in the room until you're through it.

How we work — the Ferngate Method
